BSNL 4G Wimax Broadband Service in Madurai

BSNL would soon introduce 'Wimax" Broadband Service, which is equivalent to 4G service in this city, 

BSNL was establishing rural browsing centres in villages where services are provided at Rs five per hour. 

So far 21 centres had been set up in Madurai, Theni and Dindigul districts. Besides 38 more browsing centres would be established. 

Nearly 1200 Broad Band service had been provided in the last two months and Mobile service and Pre-paid scheme introduced for Paramilitary personnel was successful and also that SIM cards with free STD facilities were seeing good sales.
