Karnataka Telecom Circle: Rationalization of Prepaid 2G and 3G

BSNL Karnataka Circle announced Migration vouchers and Migration Policy in Karnataka Telecom Circle.

1) Migration vouchers to facilitate easy migration from one plan to another (Except Pyari Jodi and Special Student Plan) is as given below.

Recharge Voucher details:

• 1 ( Migration to Saral Ananth)
• 2 ( Migration to 1ps/sec)
• 3 (Migration to All @49)
• 4 (Migration to 2G Special)
• 5 (Migration to 3G Special)

Existing Talk value and Validity of the earlier will be carry forwarded.

2) The migration procedure for existing prepaid Saral Ananth Customers is given below.

Choosing desired plan ( Migration to the desired plan may be allowed through migration voucher mentioned. The extension of validity topups to be used.

Existing Saral Ananth 1p/sec (After the expiry of tariff validity of 365 days)

Existing Saral Ananth @49ps (After the expiry of tariff validity of 365 days)

3) The existing customers will continue to get the same tariff and features for further 6months in the same plan. After 6months they will be automatically migrated to the concerned plan. However if any customer wish to migrate to the new rationalized plans, they can use the aboe mentioned migration vouchers to get the features of the new plans.

4) The procedure for migration is as below,:

Any 2G customer wishes to migrate to 1p/sec tariff or all @49 tariff, they have to simply recharge with the migration voucher costing Rs.2 or Rs.3 respectively. To migrate to 2G special plan they have to recharge with migration voucher costing Rs.4. Similarly any 3G Customer wishes to migrate to 1ps/sec or all @49 tariff in 3G, they have to recharge with the migration voucher costing Rs.2 or Rs.3 respectively. To migrate to 3G Special plan they have to recharge with migration voucher costing Rs.5.

The procedure for migration 2G to desire plan of 3G vice verse will be done in two steps:

a) The customer need to send SMS " M3G120 " or " M2G " to 53733 to get 3g or 2G service.

b) Customer need to use desired migration voucher Rs.1 to 5

Eg. Any 2G customer wished to migrate to 3G 1ps/sec tariff, first send SMS to 53733 as M3G120, the customer will migrate to 3G 120 plan, after migrating to 3G plan the customer has to use migration voucher costing Rs.2 then he/she will be moved to 3G 1ps/sec plan. After moving to 3G plan they can use migration voucher costing Rs.3 get all@49ps 3G plan.

Any Circle promotional scheme customer wishes to opt 1ps/sec tariff, they ahve to use migration voucher costing Rs.2/- only. They will be placed in 2g 1ps/sec tariff plan. But they will lose the features of Circle promotional offer. Same by using Rs.3 migration voucher they will be at all @49 2G plan. In this case also they will lose Circle promotional offer features.

5) STV-45 and STV-49 will be withdrawn with immediate effect.
